In 1999, I embarked on the journey of 20+ years and counting that is Thomas Christ with the album Children of Evil. It was VERY rudimentary - just me playing Casio keyboards and singing into a headset mic, routed into a Radio Shack mixer and out to a Minidisc recorder. Songs were mostly about the state of the world and personal heartbreak. I sold this album for only one day on cassette tapes in my high school. A copy was confiscated by a substitute teacher, who gave it to the principal. It led to the sale of the album being BANNED in my school hahaha!
Around 2015, and after learning and growing as a writer and music producer, I developed the desire to remake these songs, taking advantage of the knowledge I obtained along the way. I knew at the core these were solid songs that I may want to perform live, they just needed a lot of refinement. At that time, I recorded new versions "I Need A Home", "Just Another Day", and "Where Is My Angel". In 2020, I decided to remake and revise the title track, "Children of Evil".
Fast forward to this year, and I finally took the time to record brand new versions of the remaining tracks. I also remixed higher quality versions of the three tracks recorded in 2015. These were all sent to Jade Starr, who did an amazing job mastering these tracks to bring out the most in them.
This album purchase includes the original versions of two of the songs as bonus tracks as well - "Just Another Day" and "Where Is My Angel" to give you a fuller idea of the transformation that has occurred with the new versions.
